MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER CAMP!!! 2017
We are getting pumped over here to go on the summer middle school EQUIP retreat! Here are some details that might be helpful to know. You know that time we leave and get back and what to pack :-) That kind of stuff!
The retreat is August 4th and 5th starting at Joy Lutheran Church at 10 am on the 4th and ending at noon at Village church.
EQUIP this year is focused on growing our time with God, answering questions like: how do we pray and how do we begin reading our bible? Come with us and dive into the foundation of making your relationship with God your own. In between sessions, we have huge games, awesome worship, delicious food, a “hop” (get it?! eh?!) to JumpAmerica and more. EQUIP is the birthplace of live action Slip and Slide Kickball, Live Action Angry Birds, the nerf blowdart guns that we use at youth group and lots of other fun games, so show up and see what we’ll come up with next!
Moms and Dads, we could really use some chaperones (doesn’t have to be for the whole time) and drivers to get kids to JumpAmerica Friday the 4th at 1pm and from Joy! to Village Church at 7:30pm. Please let me know if you could join us or help drive to make this retreat go off without a hitch!
Who is EQUIP for?
EQUIP is for middle school students who are growing in their relationship with God and
kids who have questions about how they get to know God on their own.

Dates and Location
EQUIP will be taking place August 4-5, 2017 at Joy Lutheran Church and Village Church.
We will begin around 10 am on Friday, August 4th at Joy!, and will end at noon on Saturday,
August 5th at Village. We will spend most of Friday at Joy!, except for a visit to JumpAmerica at 1pm then scoot up the street to Village for evening session, games, and sleeping. We will have breakfast at Village and then end program at noon there.

The cost of EQUIP is $50. This includes housing, meals, and training materials for the
•July 23rd - Deposit and ﬁnal numbers due (non-refundable deposit of $20 per person due)
•July 30th - Final payment due (or earlier)
Suggested packing list...
Clothes for 2 days
Towel and toiletry items
•Sleeping bag (or bedding), pillow, sleeping pad
for the ﬂoor (please limit blow up mattresses to
full size for space reasons)
Appropriate swimsuit (one piece) or clothes to get wet in for Slip and Slide Kickball
Bible, journal, pen
What NOT to bring…
•IPODS, mp3 players, gaming
Alcohol, drugs, tobacco
